Transportation Engineer
Sector Leader
Growing consulting firm seeks
Senior Level Transportation Engineer Sector Leader with seven plus years
of experience in the transportation field. Georgia PE
registration (or ability to obtain one within six months of
start date) is required. The preferred client must have business
development expertise on the transportation sector.
The preferred candidate must also be
highly effective and technically competent with interstate and
urban civil design and project development. This position
requires a highly motivated individual who will be able to
develop and manage a team of staff members and coordinate with
the Principal Engineer and other discipline team members.
The successful candidate
will represent specific client assignments including go/no go
decisions, contract negotiations, proposal strategy, and all
other matters involving the client relationship and will have
the opportunity to provide a significant impact on the firm as
it grows.
PREFERRED
EXPERIENCE:
-
Degree in Civil Engineering with a Professional Engineer
(P.E.) license.

7+
years experience working on progressively larger
highway/roadway projects with greater responsibility.

Established credibility as someone who can deliver a project
on time and within budget.

Technically astute and able to follow and critique complex
issues related to design, construction, regulatory permits,
finance and politics.

A
goal-oriented problem solver.

Business development expertise in the Transportation Sector

Completely comfortable overseeing teams of professionals,
whether for a design project or a construction management
project.

Has current established relationships with major road and
highway entities, such as Georgia DOT. For RFQ/RFP pursuits,
should be able to assemble a team, structure the proposal
approach, manage the interview and, if successful, oversee
the work.

Working knowledge of CAICE, MicroStation, Geopak and other
typical design software.
